The post office building across Bergen Parkway from the King Soopers has new owners, but they won’t be making big changes for a while.

The building at 1222 Bergen Parkway has been purchased by Dragonfly Properties LLC for $1.65 million.

Little will be done to the building in the next year because USPS still has one more year on its lease, according to Paul Cattin, partner and managing broker with Platinum CRE, who represented the buyers.

Two key links in the Evergreen community, Highland Haven owner Gail Riley and Mountain Area Land Trust Executive Director Lynn Caligiuri, are being honored later this month as two of the Top Women in Colorado Business.

The two are among 51 honorees recognized by local news magazine ColoradoBiz as pioneering women for its Top Women in Colorado Business award-winners for 2026.

The awards event, to be held at 5 p.m. July 30 at Mile High Station, 2027 W.Colfax Ave. in Denver, will honor industry-leading executives, business owners and entrepreneurs for their outstanding contributions and dedication to their profession, their communities and society at large.

The deserving women will be featured in a section published in the ColoradoBiz Summer issue.

Evergreen High School has chosen a new head volleyball coach in Jenny Hager, a Littleton native and Chatfield High School graduate with years of coaching experience at her alma mater.

Though several careers pulled Hager in different directions, like being a theatrical makeup artist and working at Nike’s corporate headquarters, coaching is where Hager said she’s always felt happiest.

Hager’s longtime partner is Matt Van Praag, the head football coach at Evergreen. So, she’s seen the green flags for years now and felt a quick connection to the community.

“I've seen over the years that all they do is support him and back him and show up for him,” Hager said on Evergreen’s administration supporting Van Praag. “And now I get to see that that's all they do for all sports. All sports, all activities. They just keep showing up. Everyone has been just so incredibly helpful and supportive.”
